1. What is e-waste?
E-waste means electronic and electrical equipment that is discarded, such as biometric devices, card readers, mobile phones, printers, batteries and chargers.
2. Our commitment
Zedy follows the E-Waste (Management) Rules issued by the Government of India and encourages its retailers and partners to dispose of electronic devices in an environment-friendly way.
3. Do's
- Hand over old devices (biometric scanners, mATM / card devices, batteries) only to authorised e-waste collection centres or recyclers.
- Remove personal data and log out of all accounts before disposing of any device.
- Keep e-waste separate from regular household waste.
4. Don'ts
- Do not throw electronic items or batteries in dustbins.
- Do not burn or break devices, as they contain harmful materials.
- Do not sell devices to unauthorised scrap dealers.
